Fallout New Vegas Assault Carbine

Jul 27, 2013 AKs & AR15s Weapons Pack This is a mod for Fallout New Vegas, which adds several AK and AR-15 variants to the game. It also has some custom content for these, including reload anims and sounds. Replaces Assault Carbine, the Service Rifle, Marksman's Carbine, All-American and Lily's Carbine with AR15 rifles.
Minlillaponny, here are some things that I've found out. Using the mod suggested by Mr. Fonger earlier, The Weapon Mod Menu, I found that I couldn't mod an Anti-Material Rifle even though mods were sold for it and I even had one in inventory.
My 12.7mm machine gun would only take one mod, the silencer. I bought a second 12.7mm machine gun from the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC this time and it would take all three mods. The damaged assault carbine in my inventory refused all mods or repairs, but a second damaged assault rifle that I found in my gun locker would accept mods and could be repaired by using the first assault carbine. This is all very queer to my way of thinking. Maybe it has something to do with the Gun Runner's Arsenal. They do sell two types of the same firearm one marked (GRA) and the other without. Do you use that DLC?Rabbit.
I don't really know exactly how to modify such things, but a mod that makes the Service rifle a more viable option later on in the game would be nice. Also, a rechamber of the Assault Carbine to 5.56 would be nice. Really, I think both should pack a little more punch, the Service rifles 5.56 should be around 28 to 30+ damage IMO. While it is accurate, it just doesn't pack enough punch to be going up against super mutants, rad scorpions and the like.this mod would make all ammo types more powerful to a degree I think, that being Standard, Hollow Point, and Armor Piercing.Any takers?. I'll leave that up to you to tell me.What I did, was I took both the Assault Carbine & Service Rifle & re-chambered both to use ammo from the 5.56 ammo list. I slightly lowered the firing speed of the Assault Carbine, but upped the damage slightly in turn.
I also slightly raised the damage for the service rifle, as well as it's firing rate slightly. I also slightly raised both weapons Crit damage to 50 & applied the Victory Knockdown effect for crits, as a way of trying to make it seem that the crits staggered the enemy. To make it easy to test the weapons changes, I have placed both weapons & 1 clip of ammo on the back steps of the Doc's house in Goodsprings. Try them out & tell me what you think.File is attached to this post.-MRG. I'm not sure what happened, but after using the mod, for some odd reason, my rep with the Crimson caravan, NCR, and legion all reverted back to neutral. I was at least liked prior to using it, so I'm not sure why it did this.
The weapons are nice though, but I'm not 100% if it had adverse effects to the game or not. That is odd, as none of the changes I made effected factions. ( That I'm aware of that is. ) Tell you what, I'll remake it, but I'll make the weapons custom, with custom names, stats & projectiles/impacts. ( The model will be the default F:NV model ) Do you want them to have the exact same stats as the vanilla game or any special features? Keep in mind I can't re-skin them, but I can place them anywhere on the map, or make them in a locked container or just out in the open like the others were. This way, they will be custom weapons & thus will not interfere with the stock weapons/game in ANY way.
Fallout New Vegas Silenced Assault Carbine
The previous mod, I changed the games default weapons themselves. Do you have any saved games that you can re-try to see if you are liked or disliked back to normal?-MRG.
