• Some games actually play too slowly on the Playstation itself, but play at the correct speed on pSX, leading people to think that it's playing too fast on the emulator because they're used to the way the game plays on the Playstation. However, my PAL copy of Wild Arms (SCES-00321) plays at just the same speed in pSX as it does on my Playstation.
• Typically, using a PS2 with Fast Disc Speed is the fastest for most PS1 games. Sometimes it'll make it a bit 'crashy', though. For example, in FF8, there's a cutscene on Disc 2 that only plays if you have Rinoa with you at a certain storyline event. For some unknown reason, the game will randomly choose.

2011-8-17  At one point I had SSSPSX & ePSXe because SSSPSX was the first and I later discovered how to switch disc on it. In fact SSSPSX has a simple way of switching Disc as for ePSXe I later learned a trick to switch disc, but the reason I stop using SSSPSX was because it couldn't play as much PS1 games as ePSXe and at that time I was playing Breath of Fire III which ePSXe had a simple solution.

I am experiencing a consitent slowdown with stuttering of the audio while playing any game (ISO / actual disc / or otherwise).I'll explain what I have:My ePSXe is 1.70 using Pete's openGL 1.78 on the 'Fast' defaults and Eternal SPU 1.41 on defaults as well (I have also tried the default SPU).My sample games are Brave Fencer Musashi, Castlevania SOTN, and Metal Gear Solid.My system is running:Window 7 64-bitDual-Core Intel Celeron @2.0 Ghz2 gb RAMNVIDIA GeForce 7200GSAll devices have current drivers and updates installed. I don't understand what the problem is as I have run these games fine on a computer I had back in 2002 that was quite inferior to the one above.To note, when I disable sound within ePSXe Brave Fencer will stop at the 'Squaresoft' screen and the other games will not load. Disabling my sound device instead has no effect.

My processor only appears to be taking a 49% load while the games are running.Any help would be appreciated!
